WORKSHOPS
I was asked to teach an ongoing adult watercolor class about 10 years ago and it became one of those life-changing events. I’m as passionate about teaching as I am about painting and am always honored and delighted to share my knowledge. Teaching has forced me to continue to learn, explore, produce, fine-tune my skills, be accountable, be articulate, inspire, encourage, analyze, and to offer heartfelt knowledge when I stand at the front of the room.

“Power Up Your Imagination!” A four-day painting workshop in the mountains of North Carolina, near Asheville.
Painting from photos is an important part of our artistic journey but it can also stymie our creativity. If you’re ready to spread your artistic wings, this workshop will help you paint realistic subjects in a more imaginative way. Using photos as our springboard, we’ll explore different painting methods and themes to help spark our imagination, for example…what could the topic “things that fly” inspire you to create? Robin will have many photos and ideas to share (more details in the supply list.)
Each morning begins with group exercises and a demo of that day’s theme. That’s followed by ample time for students to develop their own ideas and paintings while she circulates the room. Robin will work in watercolor and this is primarily a watercolor workshop, but gouache or acrylic are welcome.
Guaranteed, this workshop is full of fun and surprises but, equally important, full of valuable and interesting watercolor techniques that students can use going forward.
Even we realists love to play! Let this workshop take your art to a new and more creative level.

“Reach Your Next Level In Watercolor”
3-day workshop — April 15, 16, 17
contact: www.lynchburtartclub.org
This workshop will help you take your watercolor skills to the next level. We’ll explore techniques that are a bit more advanced. Brushwork that is all about finesse. Color mixing on the paper rather than the palette. Impact, drama… all the things that make a good painting even better.
Demos and exercises will be throughout and Robin will touch on a variety of topics including landscape, figure and architecture. This workshop will be fun, intense and perhaps, just what you need to take your watercolor painting to the next level.
