In 2010, I closed the doors to my advertising and design business to pursue painting full-time. Life as a professional artist has been both a blessing and a challenge. Today, I spend my time teaching classes and workshops throughout the United States, participating in art shows, entering exhibitions, judging competitions, and of course, painting.

Whatever the subject,I strive to create paintings that balance detail with looseness. It’s my personal style of art, developed through years of practice and exploration. Capturing light, transparency, and contrast remains at the heart of every piece I create.

Watercolor has held me spellbound since I first laid brush to paper. I continue to be in awe of the way the paint moves, mingles, and glistens right up to the moment it dries. It has a way of reminding me that some of the most beautiful moments happen when you let go of control.
